LOCATION

The workshop will be held at Middle East Technical University (METU) which is one of the leading centers of higher education and research in Turkey. The main university campus is located in Ankara. Other campuses are in Mersin and Northern Cyprus.

HOW TO REACH METU

I- From the City (Kızılay):

The A1 and A2 entrance gates of METU Campus are 7 km away from the city center and they are nearby Eskişehir Highway. There are other entrance gates like A4, which is in the direction of 100. Yıl and A7, which is situated on the Bilkent way.

It is possible to reach METU Campus by EGO buses and privately owned buses, by minibuses and by taxi. The most convenient of them is EGO buses since their service is most easily accessible and available. There are the offices of intercity operating bus companies in the terminal building nearby the location of dormitories. There are service minibuses operating between this terminal building to Ankara Intercity Bus Terminal (AŞTİ).

II- International Access:

1- METU is located in Ankara. To reach Ankara, you can take a direct flight to Ankara Esenboga International Airport. The list of Companies flying to Ankara can be found in

2-You can reach the METU Campus

by taxi: Take a taxi from airport to METU Campus ("ODTÜ" in turkish). It will cost about 60-65 YTL (new turkish liras) or approx. 40 euro.

by bus then taxi: Esenboga Airport is connected to the city by bus (every hour). Ticket price is about $4. You should follow till the last stop, which is AŞTİ. Then, you should take a taxi to METU Campus. The cost is about 4-6 YTL or 3-4 euro.

3- If you prefer to fly to Istanbul or Antalya, you can reach Ankara by bus, which you can take in the corresponding bus terminal. Bus takes about 6-7 hours from Istanbul to Ankara and 7-8 hours from Antalya to Ankara. The best bus companies are: Varan, Ulusoy, Kamil Koç, Pamukkale.
